Xavier et Alex is a group of two young bilingual artists that were raised in the beautiful city of North Bay. Alex has been playing guitar since he learned to walk, and Xavier has been singing since he learned to talk. They share a very meaningful connection that has always come through during their performances. They’ve been best of friends since a young age. They’ve seen each other’s musical growth. They’ve performed together several years in a row with “Cafe Chantant,” a group brought up at Ecole Secondaire Catholique Algonquin, and with this group they recorded their first album, “Cafe Chantant ESCA 2023,” and, in turn, their duo cover of Gael Faure’s “Avoire sans etre.” As young adults, they have both been growing into their own musical careers and personal careers, finding their paths and further developing their talents. Xavier has been composing his own music, presenting his songs in Sudbury during “La Brunante” at Boreal College as well as being the first artist presented for La Slague’s “Au Bistro des decouvertes.” Alex has further developed his technical talents within classical guitar playing - he has started teaching the the instrument professionally as well as taking a mentoring role within “Cafe Chantant.”

Together, they are excited to combine their experience with new talents to create something exciting for Bay Block Party!
